One of oldest amateur surfing organizations is doing its part to help out those less fortunate kids during the holidays. 

The Western Surfing Association is holding its 3rd Annual Toys for Tots event and competition the first weekend of December in Oceanside.

Marines from Camp Pendleton will be on hand collecting new unwrapped presents for kids 0 to 18 years old.  The majority of these donations will go to help families of Camp Pendleton Marines, many of whom are deployed during the holidays.

WSA competitors and their families have always been very generous with the gifts donated over the last couple of years, but the Toys for Tots progam can always use additional presents for infants and young children.   Those surfers competing at the 5th stop of the WSA Surf Series who bring a new unwrapped toy will be given a long sleeve WSA t-shirt designed by well-known graphic artist, Rick Erkeneff.
